Benefits of Studio Yoga

Learning from a yoga studio has its benefits. These include smaller class sizes that allow for a personalized yoga experience; an environment that is designed to be conducive to an overall more relaxing and pleasurable experience; and the community of a yoga studio is full of people that are present and ready to support one another just as much as they are ready to learn more about the specific benefits of yoga for them on a mental, physical and emotional level. It is more than just having a community of workout partners, it's having personal relationships that extend beyond the mat into our day to day lives. Additionally, yoga studios have highly trained teachers that are truely concerned for the wellbeing of the students and strive to provide the best possible experience to each and every individual. Different types of yoga are available from simple and relaxed stretching to hot and extremely challenging strengthen.

Benefits of Yoga

Yoga is an ancient eastern science that has been practiced for thousands of years that consist of observations and principles about the mind and the body connection which is now being proven by modern western medicine.

• Some of the physical benefits include: increase in range of motion and strength, improved posture, increase in energy and endurance, and improved balance.
• Some of the psychological benefits include: improvement in mood, attention and concentration, decreased anxiety and depression, overall well-being increases.
• Some biochemical benefits include: decreased glucose, sodium, cholesterol levels and increased HDL cholesterol, ATPase, hematocrit, hemoglobin, lymphocyte levels.

What to expect from Rescue Yoga!

Our classes are designed to help restore the mental, physical and emotional balance that is disturbed due to day to day stressors. Leaving people feeling more relaxed, centered and focused to promote optimum health is our ultimate goal. Yoga can be done at any time of day and should be! No need for fancy clothes or accessories, we teach in street clothes, so anyone can do it!
  
The temperature is kept between 70 and 80 degrees to prevent injuries and promote detoxification. No mat? No worries, mats are provided if you don't have one. Thirsty? We also have cool beverages to purchase for fifty cents (cash only please). Classes consist of quieting the mind (clearing out thoughts), breathing exercises (stimulating blood flow and detoxification), movement linking the breath and muscle movement (to build energy and strength), balancing postures (promoting concentration), deep stretching (releasing stress hidden within the body) and a final relaxation period (to allow the body to return to its natural position). Meditation is included in every class.

Some of the classes on the Rescue Yoga schedule are specialty classes. These specialty classes do not accept the Rescue Yoga punch cards and vary in price. Please check our schedule to see which classes are specialty classes.

 

PRICING 

All regularly scheduled classes $10 per person, drop-ins welcome. 

Specialty classes and series are $15 per person.

Punch cards are available for regularly scheduled classes for $90.  

In-studio private lessons $50 each or four(4) lessons for $175 (pre-pay only).

In-home private lessons $60 each or four(4) for $215 (pre-pay only).
